The McDonnell Douglas DC-10 and McDonnell Douglas MD-11

The McDonnell Douglas DC-10 is a three Engine widebody plane Capable of Medium to long range flights. The DC-10 was produced from 1968-1988 and the 1st flight of a DC-10 was August 29th 1970 and was introduced in 1971 by American Airlines. The DC-10 is capable of carrying up to 380 passengers, there was 386 DC-10's built and 60 KC-10's.


As of January 2011 there was 97 DC-10's flying (Most with FedEx) There are Many DC-10's.

McDonnell Douglas MD-11
The McDonnell Douglas MD-11 is a Newer Updated DC-10 , The McDonnell Douglas MD-11 was produced from 1988-2000 with 200 built.
there are many difference's between the MD-11 and the DC-10 the most visible ones are the Streached fussalarge on the MD-11 the winglets, the MD-11's also have glass cockpits which the DC-10's don't (Unless converted into a MD-10)
